National Kidney Services (NKS), a nonprofit organization based right here in your city, would like to tell you a little bit more about our mission and how you can donate to our worthy cause.

NKS collects contributions of used clothing and household items from donors throughout Columbus, Dayton, Lancaster, Delaware, Washington Court House, and the rest of Central Ohio. We then donate all of the proceeds generated from your contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, which is a charity dedicated to kidney disease research, public education, prevention, patient advocacy, organ donation, and a variety of other essential programs.

NKS works hard to make the donating process as easy as possible, and these are just a few of the reasons that our donors tell us we’re at the top of their list of local charities:

  • We are a green charity dedicated to recycling any donations we are unable to use.
  • We accept a wide variety of items, from clothes and books to electronics and small appliances.
  • We pick up donations, completely free of charge, from houses, apartments, and businesses throughout the Columbus area.
  • By partnering with Ohio Thrift stores to accept donations on our behalf, we’re able to offer our donors a variety of conveniently located donation centers where they can drop off donations.
